In 1954, Robert Zorn founded Zorn Insurance Agency in Vidalia, GA. Due to the rich agricultural environment of Toombs County, home of the Vidalia Sweet Onion, the agency specialized in farm, personal lines, and life insurance.

In 1974, Robert’s son, Chris Zorn Sr., became a partner and the name was changed to Zorn & Son Insurance Agency. Chris began to diversify the agency by introducing more commercial products, and in 1978, 1979, and 1980, the Zorns were recognized as member of the Million Dollar Roundtable for their life insurance production. In 1982, Chris and his wife Debbie purchased the agency from Robert Zorn. They continued to expand operations throughout southeast Georgia and grew into a $15 million dollar organization. After Mr. Zorn’s retirement in 1994, Debbie remained active in the agency.

In 2003, after graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Chris Zorn, Jr. became the third generation of active family ownership. Today, Zorn & Son Insurance Agency represents thousands of clients in Georgia and surrounding states. With access to over 100 insurance carriers, they are able to provide superior coverage and quality service at a competitive price.
